Item Note Action
1 Fundraising
1.1 Table-top sale raised £333.47 (for 2 Sundays) plus £30 gift aided to Hall funds. A future table-top sale is to be arranged with the remaining goods.
1.2 St. Andrews Ceilidh - 21/11/08 at 7.30pm. Budget of £350 for the band. Stovies @ £1.50 per head with shortbread/teas. Maximum of 120
people. Tickets @ £8 per adult; £2 per child up to age 16 years. Family tickets to be abandoned this year. Entry by ticket only prior to the
event. Ellon & Peterhead parishioners interested in attending too. Father to email priests and Louise to email Doreen. Fr.

1.3 Quiz night to be arranged for January 2009. JB, JO'D
1.4 Book Exchange - still going on at present. Difficulties with sufficient people to man the Book Exchange. Monthly display is suggested. Volunteers required - last Sunday of the month. EMcA
2 Finances LM
2.1 Gift Aid - approx £6,800 from Inland Revenue.
2.2 Roof - VAT can be reclaimed from a grant fund for "Places of Worship". Fr. G
2.3 Diocesan Loan we paid off £20,000.£107,340 to be paid.
2.4 £4-5k worth of invoices to be sent out by Louise this week.
2.5 Tea money - approx £100 to be donated to Hall Fund and another sum to the Recycled Teenagers later on.
3 Hall Keeper
3.1 Hall keeper/cleaner going well. All pleased with excellent work undertaken by Karen. Louise to liase with Karen about bookings and invoicing.
3.2 Graham P. of "Be Free" wants to hire hall - potential fire walking - use of hall to be refused.
4 Youth Club - insufficient parent interest to progress this.
5 Drop-in Centre - only 3 volunteers on list. Charlie and John to add names to the list. More volunteers required for Tuesday nights. Hall availability is hall 1 & 2 Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights.
6 Catechism classes to start 21 September. Parents have volunteered to support classes.
7 House & Church Maintenance - John Rhind, Slater started work on the roof. See 2.2.
8 Year of St. Paul - interesting articles in the newsletter, and posters put up.
9 A.O.C.B.
9.1 "Back to Church Sunday" postponed to 28 September - to be advertised. Father involved in the IDCC with
this. Parish Council to wear "Parish Council Member, Can I Help You?" badges.
Introducers could say a special welcome to those attending the church for the first time.
9.2 Deanery Parish Council on Sunday 14 September. Catechist network being set up - discussion on how to develop this to support each other within the
diocese. Inter-parish youth event @ Tomintoul arranged by Ellon Parish. Next Deanery Council meeting 16/11/08 @ 2.30pm at Bishop's House.
9.3 Parish Website - difficult to access using search words 'Inverurie Catholic Church'. No link to
RC Garioch. Some updates required. Technical expertise needed - perhaps request parishioner volunteer.
9.4 Adult Drop-In Centre - more social events for adults in the parish. Activities on flexible basis. Approved by Parish Council to progress this on an afternoon/evening. Flyers to be printed about this. Louise
9.5 Mass for Polish People starts @ 3pm on 28 September.
